Tess Gattuso is a Jewish-Italian TV writer and content creator based in Los Angeles. She has written for The New Yorker, Vice, Reductress, and created a 10-episode series for Bazelevs Productions (Timur Bekmambetov’s company). Her original multi-cam TWO MOMS AND A DAD placed her on WeForShe’s 2020 Writers to Watch list, her animated pilot ALIEN GIRL was a Finalist in Universal’s 2021 animation writers program, and her comedy SHE BEASTS was in the top 2% of 600+ submissions for WWFC’s 2023 pilot accelerator. As a Senior Creative Producer, she has produced viral short-form videos for Barbie, TikTok, and Comedy Central.
After years performing musical improv at UCBLA and Second City, Tess began sharing comedy online to reach a larger audience. Her sketches, characters, and jokes consistently go viral, and have amassed her 315,000+ followers across TikTok, Threads, Instagram, and Twitter. As an influencer, she’s worked with Reformation, TOMS, and Instagram.
She got her start as a Writers’ PA for Marvel’s “Jessica Jones,” after graduating with a double major in Political Science and Feminist & Gender Studies at Colorado College.
